“Victoria Hattick, class of 2013, and Brisa Velazquez, class of 2012, are two outstanding students who were awarded scholarships through the PENWAG (Peninsula Wearable Arts Guild) & SVQA (South Valley Quilt Association). Brisa is studying Fashion Design at West Valley College in Saratoga, California. Victoria is studying Fashion Design at FIDM (Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising) in San Francisco, CA. Victoria joined us at FIDM in the fall when our class toured the San Francisco campus. She gave us a presentation about her experience at FIDM & emphasized that her ROP Fashion class prepared her for the rigorous challenges she faces in college. Both students return to help with our spring fashion show. In 2014, we will celebrate our 25th anniversary show.”
