“Northrop Grumman Corporation and the Los Angeles Unified School District Regional Occupational Program (ROP) have a successful long-standing relationship for over 40+ years. In 1971 LAUSD expressed concerns that few opportunities existed for high school seniors to obtain hands-on job training skills in preparation for their transition from school to career. Shortly after Northrop Grumman Corporation established a High School Involvement Partnership (HIP) Program. As a result of this collaborative effort, thousands of LAUSD ROP students have graduated, attended college and many are currently employed by Northrop Grumman. With ROP, our commitment and support illustrates our shared objective to motivate and engage students through career technical education programs simultaneously preparing them for the 21st Century workplace to meet future industry employment needs.
