PCOE’s 49er ROP students won the design championship for the second year in a row. ROP students involved with the ACE mentor design challenge competed against 12 other area high schools and were selected by a group of industry professionals as the “Best Overall Design and Presentation.”

Students spent the last 5 months creating a proposal for the new Kings Arena. Needless to say, it was an exciting design challenge and the students were very motivated to give input on this once-in-a-lifetime project proposal. Last Friday at the awards ceremony, Kunal Merchant, Vice President of the Sacramento Kings, commented on the versatility and creativeness in our student’s design proposal. Four students were awarded scholarships!
